Regulations for foreign language learning

1. General Provisions

1.1 This set of regulations defines the terms of cooperation between Viviana Maria Martins Szczurek (hereinafter referred to as the "Teacher") and students (hereinafter referred to as "Students") regarding participation in language lessons.

1.2 Participation in lessons is equivalent to accepting these regulations.

1.3 The service offered by the Teacher involves foreign language instruction, specifically the planning and execution of language lessons.

1.4 Contact with the Teacher is possible via the contact form on the Teacher's website and via email. The appropriate contact address for the Teacher is the address from which the Teacher communicates with the Student.

2. Teaching

2.1 Language lessons take place according to a schedule agreed upon between the Teacher and the Student.

2.2 The schedule is set by the end of each month and covers classes for the following month. 2.3 Lesson objectives and the teaching plan are determined individually during the first and second lessons, between the Teacher and the Students.

2.4 Lessons last 50 minutes.

2.5 Lessons are conducted online, i.e., remotely, via the Internet, using tools indicated by the Teacher.

2.6 Students are obliged to attend classes punctually and participate actively.

2.7 Both the Student and the Teacher have the right to terminate cooperation, subject to one month's notice. Notification of termination of cooperation should be sent via email from/to the addresses previously used by the Student and the Teacher for communication.

3. Payments

3.1 Due to the high number of students, there is a limited number of spots for classes. For this reason, fees for classes must be paid in advance in order to save the best schedule possible for each person, before the start of each month, no later than 1 week before classes start.

3.2 Payments should be made via bank transfer to the account number provided by the Teacher, with the student's full name and the number of lessons being paid for in the transfer title, e.g., "John Smith, 4 lessons."

3.3 In case of failure to meet the payment deadline, the Teacher reserves the right to suspend the Student's participation in classes until the outstanding balance is settled, including for lessons that were planned by the Teacher and Student but did not take place due to non-payment.

3.4 Non-participation in classes does not exempt the Student from settling payments for all lessons planned and agreed upon with the Teacher.

4. Changes to the Lesson Price List

The lesson price list may be changed at any time. The new version becomes effective from the moment it is updated by the Teacher.

5. Changes to the Regulations

The regulations may be changed at any time. The new version becomes effective from the moment of its publication on the website.

6. Final Provisions

6.1 The Teacher reserves the right to introduce changes to these regulations. All changes will be communicated to Students at least one month in advance.

6.2 The regulations become effective from the moment of written acceptance by the Student or the person commissioning the classes for the Student. Acceptance can be sent via email, electronically, to the Teacher's address.

6.3 For matters not regulated by these terms and conditions, the provisions of the Civil Code of Portugal, where the Teacher's business is registered, shall apply.
