My name is Viviana, I come from Portugal and I teach foreign languages, namely: Portuguese, Spanish and English. I also speak Polish (besides having Portuguese roots, I have Polish ones too).
​
I love helping people learn languages. The way I teach is based on my own method, which I developed during my Philology studies and have perfected over the years, both in school settings and private tutoring.

About me
I'm lucky to do what I love in life.
I genuinely enjoy helping people learn foreign languages. My approach is based on a method I developed during my studies and have refined over more than 10 years of working in schools and with individual clients.

This method incorporates the koncept of multiple intelligences (Gardner, 1993), the existence of different learning styles (Dunn i Dunn, 1993), the principle that the student, not the curriculum or teacher, should be at the centre of the learning process (Dewey, 1897; Vygotski, 1984) and the idea that language learning isn't just about vocabulary and grammar, but also about immersing the student in the language, surrounding them with it, including learning cultural contexts (Perrenound, 1999).
Regarding thebe assumptions, I also conducted my own scientific research. I described my findings in my thesis, which received the highest grade in the history of the Institute of Higher Education at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, where I completed my Master's degree. I'm Viviana and I come from the beautiful city of Porto in Northern Portugal. I use four languages daily at a fluent level: Portuguese, Spanish, English and Polish. I have formal qualifications to teach the first three. I speak Portuguese and Polish with my family (my roots also extend to Poland). Currently, however, I'm learning Asian languages because for the past few years, I've been living and working while traveling and exploring the world - currently Asia.

​I've wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I studies at the University of Porto (2013-2016), at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (2016-2018), at the Philological School of Higher Education in Wrocław, Poland (Erasmus+) and at the Knightsbridge Language and Training Centre, where I gained valuable experience and obtained my CELTA certificate.
I teach languages entirely online, which allows me to help people from all over the world. My students come from places like Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain and Italy. It's incredible what technology can offer us in education nowadays.

I approach dach student individually. My goal is for the new language to be a usefud tool for everyone, basen on their unique needs and interests. While I have great experience in teaching children, I work with people of all ages and at every language level. I strive for my students to not only learn a new language, but also understand how to use it, and perhaps most importantly, not be afraid to do so. It brings me great joy when we achieve this together.
